I tried playing acoustic guitar into the controller while streaming and it sounds all distorted and sort of flangy. I tried using a cheap desktop mic that I sometimes use on the PC to record with audacity music program (which usually works fine and sounds fine) plugged into the controller and it sounded exactly the same. I wonder if its simply the fact that the controller mic is designed for voice or whether there may be some settings I could tweak to change it so that it sounds better..?

I suspect it’s due to the mic being for voice only which will mean it’ll record at a lower bitrate.
Yes OK thankyou, I think you're right, chatgpt said the same. It comes down to auto adjusted bitrate. I have high speed internet and so it just seems I have to use OBS to increase the audio bitrate. It's saved me spending money on a new mic. I didn't want to use OBS because I like the simplicity of push and go streaming on PS5 but if I have to do that to be able to play guitar then I'll give it a shot. I've already used OBS before but my PC and PS5 are in different rooms, it's a pain to have to do it for a simple task like that but if that's the answer then it is.
