Alright so, few weeks back, my PS3 Slim's HDMI IC Chip has broke for no reason, and, it doesn't output an image through an HDMI anymore.
So, since i was unable to track the part and of course an specialist to replace it in my country, (and even if i could it would've cost me alot, almost near a price of an actual PS3) i had to use a component cable in order to continue using my PS3 which i love it so much. i can't stop playing through Uncharted 1 2 3 and Killzone
Anyway, since PS4 is becoming a retro console after almost 15 years, i was wondering what tips or tricks i could use in order to keep it safe from such tragedy as much as possible ? is there anything i should be aware of regarding PS4 Pro's HDMI port, and most importantly the IC Chip so i can avoid happening the same to my device ?
Is HDMI cable playing an important role in such stuff cause i heard if you use a cheap cable you may damage your console
I'm not a technician to repair such stuff i have a friend who can assemble or disassemble consoles but he can do no more than changing the paste which i do every 3 years or so.
Thank you
