Hello! I've been attempting to play SF6 for the past week but it refuses to let me play past the Training Mode with the default avatar. I'm not sure how best to go about this so I'll list out it's issues. This was an unopened physical disc copy straight from the game store. I factory reset the console on hopes that everything would fix itself but that doesn't seem to be the case. Prior to the factory reset, it allowed me to make an avatar once. Didn't let me use it afterwards, just went to the Training screen.
- Installs all the way with seemingly no issues; checking game info shows all 59.41GB downloaded (How many GBs is the disc version supposed to be after the 1.13 update??)
- Showed update installation in Notification bar this time around (did not prior to Factory Reset)
- Says fully updated, game will now restart
- Intro screen says it's Ver. 1.0600.010, but notification bar says the update file for Version 1.13 had been installed
- Goes to a black screen, doesn't budge
- Exit out & try to fix issue, nothing works
- Only lets me play as the default avatar in Training Mode
- Tried signed in & out of Capcom account; didn't help
- Will yell "Street Fighter Six" out controller speaker and play the intro movie
- Says intro movie is added to the gallery each time it plays
- Said "disc could not be read" once but continued to run it when I tried again
- Continues to say "some functionality will be limited until game data finished installing
- PS4 makes weird noises and overheats(?)
- Power off & enter Safe Mode
- Downloaded & installed software update for console, never shows up outside of Safe Mode
