PS5 Pro 8K issue

Dear All,

has anyone experienced poor performance on the PS5 Pro on 8k? I was lucky enough to try mine on an 8K TV and the frame rate really struggled with any intensive graphics and audio scene (car crash, explosion etc) the PS5 Pro froze for 3 seconds each time.

looking around for other comments and reading various forums regarding these issue, it appears that the PS5 Pro 8K certification has been removed from the pre order statements along with no mention of 8K specifications on the PS website. The only mention on performance now is 4K @ 120 Hz

just curious if the Pro actually does support 8K as mine doesn’t

any comments?

I don’t have the Pro but if 8k performance has been removed as a specification on the advert then I’d say it doesn’t have full 8k specs - most likely 8k ready or a future update is required to the games which support it.
