PS5 gone dead after recent PS update and black ops 6 install

After my recent PS5 Software update on Oct 25th followed by the install of Black ops 6 my console suddenly shutdown while I started up the game. There was no over heat warning nothing. It just blacked out. And it definitely wasn’t a power surge as my PS is plugged into a UPS power stabilizer. I then went ahead to do the standard troubleshooting by unplugging it and plugging back etc. and nothing would turn it on. Now the PS only beeps when you press the power button but the led lights nor the display turns on. After much research I found out that others have faced the same problem most recently. It looks like the problem is at the SSD controller on the motherboards which requires a certain draw of power to boot the ps. So clearly something with the update over clocked it and made it fry out. (Video of the fix here - ) PS should be held responsible for this and not the customer. To fix this issue they are requesting almost $250 which is half the price of the PS which is daylight robbery for a problem they caused. This seems to be very calculated like what Apple did to their iPhones. How many of you have faced the exact same problem?

Can confirm bo6 is messing up my ps5 as well, it’s shutting off my console constantly while playing black ops 6 it’s unplayable and every other game works fine. Pretty unbelievable they get away with shit like this

On the day of the launch of Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on November 25th I bought the game a few hours before the launch it was very quick to install right after I played for about 3h before going to sleep as it was the end of the day here I’m Brazil. The next morning it had been around 9 hrs since the last time I had played. I turned on the video game and played black ops 6 on the PS5. After approximately 30 minutes of playing, I heard a noise as if it was an crack noise, like a little ‘boom’ noise, I even thought it was something on the floor Upstairs or downstairs was a sound similar to little explosion and in this moment my ps5 shutdown and never came back. I open the case and I could see ashes and something similar to short circuit. I’ve playing for 11 months with no issue until the day I download black ops 6.
