PS5 Call of Duty PS4 to PS5

Hi guys! I bought the latest cod last month on ps4, inside the case was a code to download it on ps5 for free, I entered the code and it automatically downloaded some cod files. Once they all downloaded i tried to launch cod but couldn’t find it. I clicked on the game in the ps store and it’s download again however it’s changed my debit card for the full price of the game does any one know if you get the full game for free using the code or not ? And also is anyone else confused with how to use the ps5
